My client wanted to keep her beautiful bright blonde while adding more depth and dimension at the root. We achieved that with a reverse balayage, carefully darkening her roots and blending in lowlights for a softer, more natural grow-out.

For this transformation, I did a reverse balayage to add depth back into the roots and create beautiful dimension throughout the hair while keeping all of the brightness she loves. Instead of making her hair darker all over, I strategically softened the root area for a more natural, lived-in blonde.

I wanted to share the full process behind this split dye transformation! This client came in with faded black and purple hair that had turned into a blue/green tone. We started by carefully lifting out the old color, creating a clean canvas while keeping the hair’s health our top priority.

After the color removal process, we transformed her hair into this bold split dye look featuring a rich black paired with a vibrant pink. Every step—from the color correction to the final styling—played a part in creating this finished result.
