5 years ago, I was a scared little bean, fresh out of beauty school. I had no idea that I would have an abundance of amazing people that are willing to trust me with their hair, their skin, their energy, and would be so freaking supportive while doing it. Thank you to my amazing clients. The friendships that I’ve made through you— oh man. They’re paramount. Statistics show that nearly half of small businesses fail within the first 5 years. I can’t thank you enough for helping me bulldoze that statistic. AABS is still growing, learning, and thriving. Thank you for believing in me. 🖤

Hiya 🩶 my name is Sami and I’m the stylist behind Acorn Artistry Beauty Studio. Don’t let the picture fool you— I’m very seldom this serious. If I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you yet, here’s some facts about me:
🪰 I’ve been a hairstylist for 5 years now.
🦇 My specialty is creative/vivid color, but I love any and all types of color transformations!
🦉 I’m a level III certified Reiki Practitioner.
🐦‍⬛ I love all things art and history
🥀 When I’m not behind the chair, I’m usually spending time with my 2 dogs and 3 cats and diddling with some sort of silly craft. I’m pretty outgoing at work, but other than that, I’m usually a reclusive dungeon troll who enjoys time in my dungeon.
I started AABS 5 years ago (at the end of this month 🎉) because I knew that in order to work in a space that I loved and that would authentically embody my principles and priorities, I would have to build it. I’m a person that gets overwhelmed and overstimulated quite easily with my surroundings, so I knew there were others like me. My studio is a private studio, meaning I only ever work on one person at a time, and I’m the only stylist. You get all my undivided attention! Perfect for the anxious little beans out there like me. My focus is to provide a safe, relaxing space to turn your hair appointments into a time of leisure and not just another item to cross off your to-do list.

Alright, I’m not gonna lie— when a blondie goes back to their natural color, a little tiny piece of the hairstylist’s heart dies. BUT it’s only so a new piece can ✨thrive✨ 🤩 look how silky shiny and rich 🤤

What 2 years, patience, kindness to your hair, and consistency with your stylist look like for removing black hair color 🤩 on top of that, we were able to not only maintain length, but get her hair longer as well! Cassie is a hairstylist so she understood the assignment 😜 Thank you for trusting me with this process 🙏🏼🩶
