Often times when I ask clients if they wear SPF daily, their response is “Yeah! My foundation has SPF 15 in it!” And while that’s a great addition to your routine, it’s not great on its own. Here’s why⬇️

You should always use a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher, this protects you from 97% of UVA & UVB rays. In order to get that full protection, the amount you apply is important. You should use about half a teaspoon of SPF for the face, neck, and ears. And you may be thinking, “yeah that’s probably how much foundation I apply” BUT that’s foundation mixed with the SPF- not just SPF. You should always apply a sunscreen alone and then think of your SPF foundation as a little extra protection! ☀️ 🧴

I went into esthetics because I didn’t know what to do with my life and it seemed like an easy option and while it definitely hasn’t been easy 😅 I am SO happy I made the decision to randomly go to school and pursue something I knew nothing about because it has quickly become one of my favorite parts of my life. There’s nothing like pouring into every person that steps into my room and building friendships along the way.
