Day trip, and I brought my sun protection with me.
UPF shirt from Some Sun®️
UPF scarf from Coolibar
Roll-up visor from Amazon
All of it is compact and easy to carry. If you’re enjoying a day out, don’t forget a hat, visor, or umbrella. Sun protection is much more than sunscreen.☀️
PS. Yes, that’s a bandage on my ear from MOHS this week to remove a basal cell carcinoma. Protect your ears from the sun!

I always ask my clients what they have planned after their appointment and for the following days for two reasons:
- if they have social plans the same day, I want to make absolutely sure they don’t leave with any redness or irritation and I will apply a tint before their departure
- if in the 2-3 days after an appointment, a client will be traveling, outside a lot, running or cycling a lot, by the beach, on a boat, or in the sun, that matters too. I may use a milder exfoliant or change the type of exfoliation I use. I also may select one type of treatment over another depending on what is shared, all with the intention of giving their skin the best and healthiest results. 💕

BeWell 💕 I come for the experience, the education, the exhibitors. And I keep coming back for the people.
This is a close-knit industry and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to connect with people I respect and admire, who are always generous with their time, knowledge, and expertise, who show up with openness and heart. I have new friends IRL who I’ve known online for ages and I feel so full.
Being an esthetician can be isolating at times and coming together like this always reminds me that we are having shared experiences across geography. What a treat.

The sun is strongest in June and I take care of my skin accordingly! ☀️
Love morning sunlight for mental wellbeing and circadian health, and when it comes to midday sun, I cover my skin while enjoying the heat. I’ve been wearing long sleeve rash guards for years, and when I notice my neck is exposed, I add a scarf or sarong. I am also careful to avoid midday sun as much as I can. Even with all of this, I will still get a little color, which boggles my mind.

I ❤️ microcurrent, probably more than red light, and that’s saying something. It’s a gentle workout for your facial muscles that you can do at home and with consistent use, see beautiful results.
If you have:
Laxity
Early signs of sagging
Visible nasolabial folds
Dull skin
Inflammation
Pale or sallow skin
Your first thought is red light, right? Yes, red light is nice, but if you want noticeable results for any concern with musculature or changing structure of your face, I am a big fan of microcurrent. It will feed the mitochondria of your skin cells, help lift sagging muscles, counteract early signs of laxity, and give you a lovely glow. Use it 3-4x a week and you WILL notice a difference. It’s like going to the gym - for your skin. 🫶🏼
Must be used with appropriate conductive gel; not safe for anyone currently pregnantor who has a pacemaker.

I love to use it during my Level II appointments, especially when paired with red light. The skin feels lifted, hydrated, toned. Safe for all skin types, and exceptional for skin that looks dull, lackluster, missing that pizzazz. Excellent for sagging and signs of aging to create a glowing, radiant effect.
