I always feel super vulnerable showing my face on a bad skin day, but I love helping you feel less alone & sharing tips that help during makeup application.
Everyone has bad skin days & it doesn’t make you any less beautiful or worthy ❤️
Here’s a few of my favorite techniques I use often:
How to cover eczema & rosacea patches:
•color correct with aspen then go in with a hydrating foundation (I’m using the SEINT cream iiid foundation)
•set in place with a hydrating setting spray
How to cover up blemishes:
•color correct the redness with aspen, then go in with a foundation shade a couple shades darker than your normal shade
•go over the top with your normal shade, then take a loose powder and spot treat with a small dense brush & let it bake while you finish the rest of your makeup
•press into the skin with a powder puff & brush off the excess
How to cover up dark circles:
•color correct with frenchie, then go in with your brightening shade
•set with a setting spray
•lightly set with a pressed powder, then bake with a brightening powder (I’m using the essence brighten up banana powder) with a velour powder puff (mine are off Amazon)

Lets leave the unrealistic expectations of skin & makeup in 2022..
Every single woman that has either bought makeup from me or has gotten their makeup done by me always says things like “can you cover up my bags” “can you get rid of my huge pores” or will send me a completely photoshopped picture of a woman wearing makeup and will tell me they want those exact results.. while there are many tricks that can minimize skin texture, discoloration, etc, there’s no way to make your skin not look like skin.. because well.. it’s skin lol
Skin has texture & that is 1000% NORMAL. Filters & photoshop can be fun but they become toxic for our mental health when we see people claiming they “just have perfect skin” or that a certain product erases pores, blemishes, scarring, hyperpigmentation, etc.
Just know I keep it real with you guys on my little corner of the internet & will always try to normalize not being ashamed of your actual skin as I continue to learn to love mine ❤️

When you start to be unapologetically yourself and doing what’s best for you, you’ll make others feel uncomfortable and project their insecurities onto you.. “you’re really gonna wear that” “you sure you wanna do that” “what will people think” etc, etc, etc..

Do you or your teenage daughter have acne prone skin or other skin problems? If so, please read!
If you’re like me and struggle with hormonal acne/eczema/rosacea, it can be extremely frustrating trying to feel confident when you have a flareup or breakout. It’s always been one of my biggest insecurities and would always look worse when I tried to cover it up with traditional foundation, giving it that cakey/dry/patchy look.
I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.. that’s why I’m so incredibly grateful for this makeup. This took me under 10 minutes with two brushes and my compact of makeup.. ZERO filters or edits btw because I want you to see the actual results.
Do I still have texture? Of course. No makeup will get rid of the texture of your skin. But I will 100% take texture that’s camouflaged into my skin over having the red spots that stand out.. total confidence boost in a few minutes will have your entire day changed for sure!

Never in a gazillion years did I ever think I’d be doing bridal makeup in a million dollar lake house.. like is this real life??

Slowly getting back into the swing of things after having surgery!
Here’s a little before and after on my beautiful mother-in-law while they were down here visiting 💓
I absolutely love doing makeup on other women and love seeing the shocked look on their face and seeing them light up when they see the finished product 🥰 it’s seriously the best feeling in the world knowing you made someone feel special and see their beauty how others see them with or without makeup.
