Hey everyone, I just want to warn clients and stylists in this group — there’s a scammer going around taking deposits from clients and then sending them to my salon, pretending to be affiliated with us.

This has happened twice this week, and I hate that people are losing money to someone pretending to represent my business. Please know that Wild Child Locs (my salon) does not accept bookings through Facebook DMs or Cash App/Apple Pay from random profiles.

✅ To stay safe, always book directly through the official website or contact the stylist/business directly before sending any payment.
❌ If someone asks you to send a deposit outside of the official channels, it’s not legitimate.

🚨 Warning To Clients, Please Be Aware Of Scammers! 🚨

I wanted to make everyone aware that there’s someone out here pretending to be a stylist and taking deposits from clients under false pretenses. Yesterday, a client came to my salon after sending an $80 deposit to someone they thought worked here. Unfortunately, that person is not affiliated with my salon in any way!

I truly feel sorry this happened to the client, and I want to remind everyone to always verify who you’re booking with. For safety and security, deposits and appointments should only be made through an official booking website, especially one that requires a subscription or verified stylist profile. This helps lower the chances of getting scammed.

Please double-check before sending any money, and don’t hesitate to confirm with the salon directly if you’re unsure. Let’s keep our clients and our community protected! 💕
