Wednesday morning. I just finished clearing the driveway as best I could. I was stepping up onto our front walkway, slipped and caught my fall with my right arm on the front of Stan’s car. After straining a muscle in my right shoulder a few weeks ago, I think I may have torn a muscle. My right bicep is on fire and lifting objects is questionable, at best.
Even with the injury (and a mega dose of Voltarin!), I finished clearing the driveway and got salt down. If you’re on the books today, Thursday or Friday, please note that there is still much ice on the ground, and we don’t want anyone falling and getting injured.
Please use caution before deciding to come in this week! We’ll assist as best we can if you DO make it in, but please note that my (Richard’s) services will be the bare minimum. Sorry about the inconvenience, but even we get injured, sometimes.

It’s time for my second (not annual) "Boozy Cake Sale!”
The price has gone up since my last sale (because grocery prices have gone up 🤷🏻‍♂️) to $60 per cake. One new rule this time around: I am limiting this sale to only one cake per client per holiday, pre-paid upon ordering (I never left the kitchen last time around - phew!!!) BUT, don’t let yourself get down about this new rule, because I’m adding cakes for ALL of the holidays!

Feel free to place your orders the next time you’re in the shop. As always, I shall deliver before each holiday, or if you are in a time crunch, cakes can be picked up in person.

PS- If your favorite cake isn’t listed with any particular holiday, no worries - I can make your favorite for any holiday!

PSPS- At the suggestion of a special lady, I’m working toward a recipe book, filled with stories of fun and laughter, each story relating to one of the recipes. Cakes, sweet breads and cookies. And, as always,……boozy!

Hello to our clients! Sunday provided me time to get a cake baked for this week (yes, it’s a boozy one - still experimenting for the upcoming holidays).
What’s on the menu? My own version of a Black Forest cake.
We’ll try a piece, tonight, and let you know what WE think. For the lucky ones coming in this week, I’ll serve this until it’s gone, and then who knows WHAT I’ll come up with? It’s a busy week, so I’ll certainly need two cakes to get through it. Can’t wait to see everyone!

Important Update! Our salon will undergo an inspection by the State Board Inspector on Thursday in preparation for my apprenticeship under Stan's guidance. The apprenticeship is slated to commence immediately after approval and is expected to last approximately 1.5 years. As valued clients, please note that your participation in allowing me to work on your hair is entirely voluntary. However, we would greatly appreciate your cooperation in permitting me to observe Stan during hair services. This milestone marks a significant step in our business development, and we are grateful for your ongoing support and encouragement.
