What is Hidradenitis Suppurativa? Also know as HS, it is a chronic, noncontagious inflammatory skin condition that occurs when hair follicles get blocked. It produces painful lumps or abscesses that form underneath the skin, often in areas of the body that rubs together like underarms or the Brazilian areas. It is NOT caused by poor hygiene or infection.
Is it safe to get waxes with HS?
YES, it is safe to get waxed if you have HS. Notice in the video how I easily just avoided the area that has HS and waxed her underarm with ease.

It’s important to PREVENT ingrowns from happening rather than to treat them once they’ve arrived. Exfoliate the area 2-3 times weekly, even when the hair hasn’t started growing back yet.
