One of the biggest risks of receiving filler injections is having a vascular occlusion.😳 This is where the injected filler puts pressure onto a vessel or blocks it, thereby impeding blood flow to the tissue around it. It can be a medical emergency🚨🚑and it’s important to have an injector trained in treating it. ! Hylenex is a medication that breaks down hyaluronic acid. Being that we are both ER nurses we know that emergencies happen even in the rare occasion. It’s important to be prepared and trained so we always have some on hand and have had specialized training in using it. Even if you don’t choose us to do your injections, please make sure your injector carries and is trained on the use of Hylenex.
