Laser Removal 🤝 Saline Lightening
Laser removal and saline lightening both are amazing for lifting pigment from the skin! However, they both typically take multiple sessions & have different strengths.
Laser is great at lifting a lot of pigment quickly, especially if it’s deep in the skin & has carbon black in the mix. But laser can leave you with a color shift like the yellow seen here.
Saline lightening when done correctly lifts the color up to the surface & some of the pigment under the skin will fall off when the scab falls off. The color just becomes a lighter version of the color is was, no crazy color shifts. But it can be a slower process depending on how old & how deep the ink is.
When you combine laser and saline together you’re able to achieve the best results usually in the shortest amount of time although results may vary
So what would the best method for getting pigment out of the skin? In my opinion and experience, saline is great at lightening the color more evenly then finish off with laser removal for deeper color if needed.
