1. How much and how often I’ve laughed and been happy and had so much fun the past 39 years… and,
2. The “what in the actual f**k” scrunched up face I make when I leave my house.

A little advice from someone who started taking it far too late…
- self love isn’t self care, isn’t selfish, and it isn’t easy. it’s the ONLY way to fully appreciate and understand altruistic giving to the ones you love. you can’t give with an empty or leaking cup, and often we walk around with the leaking cup-just enough in it to make sure we’re taking care of our family, our work, our home, and juuust enough to continue our own daily grind.
but still without boundaries.
when do we say no, I can’t be there or no, I need to just relax tonight. or…god forbid we say, no, I’m tired, I’m going to take a bath and order take out, and frankly I just don’t want to.
But with a full cup… we have that light back in our eyes, that ambition to let our best self take the drivers seat and fu***ng go. we’re better mothers, better wives, better listeners and friends and most of all- we’re our very best selves and we absolutely do not punish or guilt ourselves for saying no. or taking a nap. or choosing what’s healthier and happier for our mind body and soul. THAT, friends… is self love. and once you’ve achieved it there is nothing that can break you because you know how much you’re worth.
I hope you are doing so well your face hurts from smiling or you have chronic bed head from napping 👊💁🏻‍♀️🫶
