Surgery went well. Little more damage than we thought. I guess I should have had this surgery sooner. Cortisone did not treat me well in the long run! Rotator cuff is sewn back together and a collagen patch was put over the repair and the bicep tendon was cut and reattached. Ugh. Everything feels so tight!!

Saw the surgeon for my post op. All is well. Stitches are out and off to PT next week. Pain has been tolerable.

Tomorrow the shop doors will open! I’m so excited to get back into the shop behind the chair...behind my mask... I have prepared the shop to greet you all with all of the necessary requirements of Connecticut’s Department of Economic and Community Development. These guidelines are constantly evolving as we move through this Pandemic. The shop has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. I have received a State of CT Covid19 Certificaton and a Covid19 Barbicide Certificaion that are posted in the shop.
Face masks will be required for all services.
I have a contactless thermometer to test temperatures for your comfort.
Please if you do not feel well, do not come in.
This is all new to all of us so please be patient as we navigate through this together!

Hello all! Hope everyone is healthy and safe. Here we are at week 8 of quarantine. I am sure that everyone feels shaggy. I miss you all and I’m looking forward to getting back behind the chair! As the Governor originally stated our start back date was 5/20, Phase 1, in my opinion that was way too soon, but I was excited to start booking appointments. Then a few weeks later we were introduced to the health and safety standards from the state of CT and the Health Department. I am not a surgeon and I am not comfortable dressing like a surgeon. (Mask, Face Sheild, Hair covering, and of course my glasses.) Scarey. Unrealistic. Hairdryers, NO, then Hairdryers, OK. I am interested in seeing how Phase 1 rolls out in the next few weeks. I feel like hairdressers are the guinnea pigs. I am anxious, but I am not willing to put you all at risk or my family. With that being said, my family and I have decided that I will start back at the shop for Phase 2 which the Governor has tentatively set for 6/20. However, our annual family vacation to Ocean City (scheduled since December) is 6/20. Therefore, my first day back will be 6/28. I hope you all understand. Sorry for any inconvenience. I truly appreciate your loyalty and support through all of this! Please text me when you are ready to get your appointment on the books. ❤️

As for nail appointments, the Governor has not given us much information on when I can start booking. My hope is that he will release nail services with Phase 2. I’ll keep you all up to date with that on my page!
