I hope I'm not the first one to tell you this but...

Highlights don’t always have to mean bleach.

When your starting color and your hair goals allow for it, using permanent color to create highlights can be a great way to add brightness and dimension while keeping healthy hair in mind.

Here’s why I love this option behind the chair:
✨ A gentler approach
Color can lift the hair without the same degree of lightening that bleach provides, making it a great option when we don’t need a dramatic lift.

✨ Soft, natural dimension
Instead of super-bright highlights, color creates a softer, more blended result that enhances your natural color and gives the hair beautiful dimension.

✨ Customizable tones
We can play with warm, neutral, golden, caramel or other tones to create something that complements your natural hair and skin tone.

✨ A softer grow-out
Because the result is usually more subtle, your highlights can grow out beautifully without creating a harsh line—perfect if you love low-maintenance color.
Bleach absolutely has its place, but not every highlight needs it.

My goal is always to choose the technique that gets you the look you want while being mindful of the health and integrity of your hair. ♡

Healthy hair + beautiful color can exist together. ✨

If this is your style you need to know your options & yes you have some!
▪︎
Peekaboo color is one of my favorite things to add in a style that's low maintenance, fun & easy to add for something different.》
▪︎
I like to add these to either the underneath in the back, in the front or halo style like this babe that gives a fun pop of color 👌
▪︎
You can have it hidden but visible when wearing certain styles or more noticeable so it pops thru layers.
▪︎
This is also great for someone who likes certain colors but doesn't wanna commit to a full head of it. Plus you know I'm gonna make it low maintenance for you babe.

Save this post for inspiration if you need this in your life ✨️

Let's be real》》
Think of your scalp like your skin — you wouldn’t go days without washing your face, right?

The longer you wait, the more buildup, oil, and bacteria collect… which can clog follicles, create build up that feels startchy or looks like dandruff, excessive oil that always feels greasy, slow growth or cause breakage, and dull your natural shine.

Washing more often = a cleaner scalp + healthier, stronger, shinier hair. ✨

Book your next healthy hair appointment with me, and let’s get your scalp + hair thriving! ♡

This is the story of a girl》
Who grab a box dye for years to color her hair & didn't know how much damage she was really doing.

She also didn't realize how much the color was not right for her. It was washing her out, breaking her ends & drying her out.

So your girl is here to help her in a journey to loving her hair again ♡

This was her second session with me because you know if you sit in my chair we start with the basics of hair health & do a healthy hair reset first before any color.

More often than not we are growing out the old color for a long time before we can really start to fix things.

Then we color melted & blended in her roots with added dimension by working with what she had. That means glossing only this time around.

But let me tell you... the difference the impact this made in how she felt about her hair was big! She left loving how it looked & felt as we go on this journey together, and I cannot WAIT to see where we are a year from now ✨️

Stop chasing healthy hair with random products 》
If your hair never seems to get healthier, it might not be because you're using the wrong products...

It might be because you're not giving anything enough time to work.

Healthy hair isn't built from one appointment, one mask, or one "miracle" product. It's built through consistency.
✨ Washing your scalp when it needs it.
✨ Using the right products every wash day.
✨ Staying on top of trims.
✨ Protecting your hair from everyday damage.
✨ Showing up for your maintenance appointments.

Think of your hair like going to the gym. You wouldn't expect one workout to completely transform your body. Hair works the same way—the small things you do consistently are what create the biggest changes.

That's why my goal isn't just to make your hair look good the day you leave my chair. It's to help you build a routine that keeps it healthy long after your appointment.

Healthy hair isn't about perfection. It's about consistency.》
What's one healthy hair habit you've stayed consistent with lately? Let me know in the comments!
