17 years.
September always makes me remember the first time I held my license in my hands at 20 years old. It was this or practicing law…. 😬
Now, this career has been so much more than bodywork. More like soul work for myself. As selfish as that sounds it honestly happened by being as selfless as I could when I step through the door. One of my practice rules I’ve had for many years :
ITS NOT ABOUT YOU
It wasn’t any technique or modality I practiced. It was just simply how I showed up for others.
Showing up like this meant I needed balance in every area of life because once I walk in nothing is about me anymore. Now looking back I truly believe that’s what made the difference. What else is life really other than how we love and show up for others?
To be clear, this balance is quite unachievable. You never arrive to it. Always chasing and chasing. Without knowing how many grains of sand are left in our hourglass, I hope to have many more days left to show up for the people meant to be on my table.
And as I close up today I knew I needed this posted on the last day of this month when two clients said they leave feeling like better human beings and this is more than a massage. 🥹 That is what keeps me loving this. Feeling like I can help ppl come home to their bodies, take a break, felt seen and understood. No ego. I am a vessel.

We hate seeing you in pain. The best clients know and understand that regular bodywork PREVENTS dysfunction. The thing is…. We will never know what we prevented 🤔 and that’s why it’s hard to wrap your head around booking any type of regular care for yourself when you feel fine.

What’s the difference between them all?

Mighty XO’s magnesium butter is shea based. Giving you a lotion type feel whereas the roll on is coconut oil.

The 4oz jars I carry
are applied by hand. 🤚
The roll ons have the benefit of being able to now get any magnesium on the hands which can be extremely convenient if you have a cut or scrape that could sting from the salt or you aren’t able to wash your hands immediately.

Saying goodbye to clients for whatever reason brings me to reflect on how I show up. I try to have no regrets.
Did I give them my full undivided attention?
Did I do everything in my power to fill my own cup in order to show up for others to the best of my ability?
Can I say goodbye without wishing I did more for them?
And Honestly….. how is this any different than our whole entire life?!?
So grateful massage has kept me in this mindset for so many years. No matter your role, at some point you show up for others, but first you show up for yourself.

Thats how many hours you can give physically to clients and make it to the end of the week, EVERY week, and maintain that. I am so so grateful to still take on the client load that I do at almost 17 years of practicing, but I kept noticing every month we had to book out farther and farther on the calendar.
Thinking it would calm down month after month was in hindsight , incorrect 😬
💙 So here we are and for the time being my books are closed. I am here to be of service to who ever I CAN and for now I cannot open up any more spots to allow someone new. I am thankful everyday for the trust and commitment that happens on my table.
