Growing up in church, I knew how to "play church". I knew how to pray, I knew the scriptures and the songs and I knew how to act. But that never felt like enough for me. I wanted something more.

I knew God was calling me when I was young. I gave my life to Christ and got baptized. I would read my Bible chapter by chapter in my bed at night, not fully understanding what I was reading but searching for God.

As I got older, I lost focus. Put God on the back burner. Yes I would still pray and go to church occasionally, but I thought I was in control. I felt as long as I thanked God afterwards for anything that came then that was enough.

Through the years, God kept showing up in ways that I couldn't deny that it was anything else but Him. And my husband began to see that too. So Ray and I made it a point to visit different churches. We had been invited to many of our friends and family's churches but we wanted to be somewhere we both felt led. That's when we found Crossover Church

Since then, my relationship with God has grown more than ever before. And Sunday I made the decision to be baptized again. 🤍

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
