I’ve been offered and accepted a position as Lead Esthetician at a local wellness spa that will be opening soon!! I’m excited to expand my service offerings and diversify my expertise into more of a wellness focus. New Booking Site
If it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it! One of the items that has been on my to do list for quite some time is creating a booking site and website that aligns with the client experience I want for my guests. This month is officially my six year anniversary as an Esthetician, and I’ve decided to go back to my original booking platform- GlossGenius. From the look, to the ease of scheduling appointments- this booking site is best for myself as a provider and you as my guest! If you haven’t had a chance to familiarize yourself with the new platform yet, I encourage you to check it out.

New Menu
Speaking of the new booking site, I have also updated the service menu with you in mind! Here’s what’s changed:

YOU CHOOSE YOUR EXPERIENCE!!

In an effort to provide an experience that is enjoyable for both my guests and myself, you are now in full control of your visit based on your schedule and your budget!

Facials now range from 45 - 100 minutes (previously 60-120 minutes)
Classic Facials start at $150 and go up to $225, based on the upgrades you select. Custom All Inclusive Facial is now a standard 100 minute service and a flat rate of $300.

New Hours
Finally, below will be my availability for the remainder to the year and until I finish school. The booking site will ALWAYS be the best source to show up to date availability.

Wednesday 5pm-8pm (1-2 Wednesday’s per month. This month, it will be the 30th)
Friday 10am-6pm
Saturday 9am- 5pm
Sunday 1pm-5pm (1 Sunday per month. This month, it’s the 20th)

Sometimes your journey to HEALTHY skin is a HEALING Experience 🖤

The before and afters are exactly EIGHT months apart 🫶🏾 This was a former client who sought guidance from a dermatologist and another esthetician in hopes of speeding up the process and achieving “flawless skin” at a faster pace than what she felt she was experiencing with us.

When she came for her initial appointment, we could visibly see not only the burns and damage caused to her skin; but also the damage it has caused to her self esteem 😔

We curated a custom treatment plan and home care routine that focused on TLC! No chemical peels, no enzymes, no brightening products…strictly gentle products to repair her skins barrier 👌🏾

Updated Policies & Procedures

As we are entering into the busiest season for facials (advanced chemical peels), we want to give a few updates on our policies and procedures that are effective immediately.

As we all know, the costs of life has drastically increased over the last two years and that includes the costs associated with running Detroit Skintique. In an effort to minimize the amount of these costs that are passed along to our valued clients, we ask that you take heed to the following payment policies.

At this time, we are NOT increasing the costs of any of our services or retail offerings.

Seasonal Promotions:

We will continue to offer promotional pricing during the week on select services. You can find the services listed under promotional offers. Because these services are generously discounted ($15-$100), we ask that you settle your balance via cash or zelle at your appointment.

Availability:
We will be available two Saturdays and one Sunday per month from 10am-4pm. If the weekends work better for your schedule, we highly recommend booking in advance. Same day appointments within a four hour window are allowed with online booking. Please check the booking site directly for accurate availability.

Payments:

* when receiving services, if possible we ask that you Zelle your payment to Detroit Skintique. Our Zelle profile is set up under the business phone number and email. This can be provided to you during checkout.

* Cash can be used to pay for services and products, however please bring exact change to cover your balance and any gratuities you will like to leave. We cannot guarantee that change will be available.

* If using a credit card or debit card to check out, the card MUST be present. We are no longer charging cards on file for services provided.

* A valid card must still remain on file for reserving appointments online and in the case of late cancellations

Invoices:
* When placing a skincare order for a singular company, the shipping fee will be a flat $10

* When placing an order for skincare products, If you are ordering from more than one company the shipping charge will be a flat rate of $15.

* If you are running low on multiple products, we advise ordering them all at once to avoid paying shipping multiple times.

* In the past, we have covered the shipping charges for our clients and at this time this is no longer a courtesy we can extend.

(NO CONSULTATION NEEDED)!

These treatments are perfect for those not ready to commit to a consistent treatment plan, who still would like to experience improvement in the appearance of their skin. We’ve also added a Signature Peel for our current clients with minimal downtime that doesn’t require any preparation outside of your normal skincare routine!

Hey there! I have some exciting news to share. We're growing and have partnered with a highly experienced salon manager to take Detroit Skintique to new heights. Soon, you'll notice some changes, starting with the new name on our door: The Skin Collective! This space is the first of many to come and will serve as a space for service providers in the skincare industry to provide services to their clients in a private, yet welcoming atmosphere. My partner Brittany and I have been working on this collaboration for years and can't wait to offer you an enhanced esthetic experience highlighting both our skill sets!

Starting in September, you'll be able to book services for both of us directly through our joint website. Plus, as a client of Detroit Skintique, you're eligible for a $25 gift card towards brow enhancements or your first Hydrafacial™ appointment with Brittany. Speaking of Brittany, she's a Hydrafacial™ Master with extensive training and over three years of experience! I recommend receiving a Hydrafacial™️ at least 2x per year to maximize the health of your skin.

In addition, I'll now be providing services in two private suites, and we're bringing back our spa packages. Stay tuned for more details!

Updates to Booking Policy:
Lastly, to ensure that you continue to have an amazing experience, we've made some changes to our booking policies. While the industry standard is to pay a non-refundable deposit for all appointments, we've extended the courtesy to our clients to pre-book future appointments without a deposit. However, starting today, any pre-booked appointment that is subsequently rescheduled will incur a $25 fee, automatically applied towards your next visit. If you move your appointment more than two weeks out, the fee must be paid within 24 hours of rescheduling, or the appointment will be canceled and all future bookings will require a non-refundable reservation fee. On the other hand, if your schedule is unpredictable, you can book online 24/7 and even snag a same-day appointment if available!

We're also implementing a late fee policy to ensure timely appointments. Facials have a 10-minute grace period and waxing services have a 5-minute grace period. If you're more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and the balance for your scheduled service(s) will be charged to your card on file, unless you notify us in advance.

These changes are all in place to offer you the best experience possible. We appreciate your understanding and continued support!
