I've never had what would be considered great hair, I've always claimed the hair fairy skipped me when I was born! Which was fine, I was still able to rock bobs and pixies. 🖤 My first experience with true hair loss was after my last son was born. I'll never forget the doctor telling me that she has read about it, but had never actually seen it. Now I know that I was experiencing telogen effluvium. Unfortunately, my hair loss didn't stop there, I continued to have extreme shedding phases and then had that combined with Androgenetic alopecia. This was definitely taking its toll on my self confidence. I was a busy mom of four boys and constantly fighting with trying to make my hair look decent. I so wish I could have back all of the time I spent in the bathroom frustrated and just wanting to cry. Even though I knew my hair was not doing so great I was also in denial because I thought women weren't supposed to lose their hair. At the age of forty I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although I didn't undergo chemotherapy, I did have a double mastectomy and after that was put on medication to lower my hormone levels as my cancer was hormone driven. I also get monthly injections of Zoladex to shut off my ovaries, hormones... One of the side effects of both of these medications is hair loss and my hair was definitely obedient! Now I'm the luckiest person to work with others experiencing hair loss. I honestly can't believe I actually get paid to do what I for a living! I love meeting people and seeing the light of self confidence spread across their faces when the put on their new hair! I also love transforming hair that needs a big or slight makeover to make it your dream hair! I can't wait to connect with you.
