Today, the world lost an icon 💔

Dolly Parton brought Truvy Jones to life in Steel Magnolias—the big-hearted, quick-witted salon owner who reminded us that a beauty shop has always been about so much more than hair. It’s where women gather, laugh until they cry, cry until they laugh, share their lives, and somehow leave feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.

That spirit has always been part of what Steel Magnolias means to me.

Dolly represented so much of what I love about where we come from—Appalachian roots, strong women, big dreams, kindness, humor, a little sparkle, and never being afraid to be exactly who you are.

There will never be another Dolly. And there will never be another Truvy. 🤍
