Shades Of You
I have created my own Jewelry Business called "Shade Of You". I create unique, one of a kind, Jewelry. I guess it’s time I took their advise.
My company “Shades of You” originated out of a need to be creative. I have spent the last 30 years going from one “crafty” project to another and always I heard the same thing from my family and friends. “Wow, you should make those and sell them”.

am holding my second annual Home Show Jewelry Sale November 8th -11th Wednesday through Saturday. 10:00 Am to 7:00 pm.
I have almost 200 items for sale. Lots of strung Lampwork beads, pearls, gemstones and lots of wire wrapped items. Buy one and get the second 50% off of equal or lesser value (excluding wire wrapped pieces). There will also be a clearance section.
Once again I am offering my services to repair broken Jewelry at no cost. As long as it does not need soldering I can probably fix it, so bring your broken pieces and come see what I have. Lots of great stuff for gifts too!
Here are a few examples of what you can expect.

I have been working with Lampwork beads lately
Lampwork is a term used to describe glass beads made by melting glass with a torch and wrapping it around a metal rod. The term "lampwork" was used many, many years ago when people used to blow air through oil lamps to melt the glass.

Several Years ago Scott went to Sir Lanka, this was shortly after I had started making Jewelry, and he purchased some beautiful faceted semi-presious gemstones. Rubies, Garnets, Amethysts, Perisot and Topaz. None of which had drilled holes in them and I only used gem stones that had holes so I could string them or larger stones that I could wire wrap. I have been holding onto these stones for the past 7 years and I finally came across a wire wrapping technique for tiny stones. So this is what I have created so far.

Hello all, just wanted to let you know that my Etsy shop is officially closed. It is time to start a new chapter in my book of life.
I opened my shop in the fall of 2014 and 5 glorious years later I find it is time to focus my attention on other things. Like my 11 Grandchildren! And my husband who is done traveling overseas and is semi retired so we plan to do a bit of traveling and intend to spend a lot more time with family which is spread out as far as the East Coast in Virginia and the West Coast in California. Then we have family as far South as Texas and in Washington State to the North.
I mostly wanted to thank all of you for supporting me in this venture of Jewelry making. I have learned so much and have loved every minute of it. I want to thank you for special requests that have taken me out of my comfort zone and forced me to develop new skills and I want to thank anyone who has made a purchase from me and supported me in any way. It has been a wonderful 5 years.
On the other hand . . . I have no intentions of stopping. I have made about 10 pieces in the last two weeks, so you see I am not slowing down my production. Closing the shop however frees up a lot of my time that has been spent photographing and creating postings, inventory and cataloguing, marketing and attending Jewelry classes. I have spent countless hours searching for the right suppliers and attending Gem Fairs, and dragging my gracious husband with me.
If you ever need a piece of jewelry for a special occasion or any occasion for that matter, just send me a note and I am sure we can work something out.
Thanks again - You’ve been wonderful.

Announcement: I will most likely be closing my shop in December - or at least slowing things way down. I will be gone quite a bit next year with Travel now that my Husband will not longer be going overseas for work. Those of you who live in Utah and can come to my home will get great closeout deals because I don't have to pay extra fees or shipping on your purchases. I still plan to make jewelry and you can contact me if you have something special you want made. I am not giving up the trade, just the shop.
