How to craft a life that belongs to you + break trauma bonds by walking away + staying away.
It took me a lifetime to truly get this…
Some people do this and it’s all they do for their lifetime… they aren’t here to evolve or love or heal; they’re here as examples of soul stagnancy, as catalysts of our own healing. They don’t heal, evolve, protect. They leave behind a legacy of trauma.
Outgrow them
Leave them where you found them
Don’t look back
Heal what they came to reveal
it all catches up with you, eventually…
the good
the love
the kindness
the giving
the protection
and everything they took from you, slowly returns
your drained aura washes over
your siphoned soul pours in
your life force replenishes
and you come home to yourself

My personal experience with how confusing a psychological distortion can be and how to identify them.
An abuser’s psychological distortion is how they twist reality to blame the victim, and minimize the abuse. It’s a tactic used by an abuser to maintain a positive self-image and avoid accountability. It’s not mental illness or loss of control; it’s strategic and forces the target to internalize blame, fear, and confusion. These thinking errors maintain the cycle of abuse by messing with the targets sense of reality and self-worth.
Identifying a psychological distortion is difficult because it usually manifests as gaslighting and minimization. Abuse rarely feels like abuse to the target; it feels like confusion.

This feels so true. I’ve found that it also, ultimately gifts you the most beautiful and authentic life with deep and meaningful connections instead of the mismatched ones you make when you use people for comfort out of a fear of being alone.
Many of the women I know, including myself, recently made this decision for themselves; to choose themselves, to walk alone and to become so beautifully independent and strong. I hope everyone finds this kind of strength on their solitary journey’s.

When someone hurts you and insists they did nothing wrong, believe them. They’re telling you they don’t think hurting you is wrong.

It takes deep courage to redirect and settle your nervous system. To say no to what doesn’t align. To sit in the stillness while your soul is crawling out of your skin. To “let them” when your heart wants to control them. To have a cup of tea when you want to reach for the toxic numbing things. The excruciating jolting sensations of dysregulation. The impossible stillness in a raging river of feeling…
and then out of the blue, at some random uncharted point, breath like the eye of the storm, you feel the softening… the calm… like coming home to yourself🤍

Don’t take them back
Don’t be fooled
Don’t feel jealous
The kind of partner that trauma bonds you…
doesn’t come back because they’ve had a huge awakening or change.
They also don’t leave you because they’ve had a huge awakening, either.
They don’t monkey branch to the rebound because they’ve all of a sudden seen the light.
They didn’t leave to go find a partner to finally do the work with, that you’ve been begging them to do.
They’re looking for the path of least resistance, the way that won’t challenge them to grow. The partner that’s on their level. They don’t fight for the one they love, they settle for the one that’ll tolerate them and call it love.
