“Best Case Scenario”

Those were the Doc’s words this morning as we checked in for a post-op visit. His smile still beamed as he went through the pathology report and gave Carla a glowing bill of health!

There’s so many details to be mentioned here, but in our fast-paced society I believe they’d get lost in the process-please forgive me!...but there is one I want to try to express, the best I can.......(read more below)

Good Morning from 3Tower!

As promised; an update from Carla’s surgery yesterday.

I won’t bother you with all the details but will highlight the highlights!

Carla’s surgery began at 7:30 am and was scheduled for about 4 hours. About 2.5 hours into the ‘waiting’ I was greeted by her surgeon wearing a Big Smile! He was finished, early, and happy about how it all turned out!

He was able to remove the remains of the tumor and patch her back up nicely. I know that sounds simple, but that’s it-it’s All Gone! She’ll be recovering for no more than 6 to 8 weeks once we leave the hospital. Carla has rested well since getting into a room and has been up and about for just a few minutes this morning.

Thank you for praying with and for us. We are confident we’re heard and continue to see the fruit of those request!
I’ll be back with another update once she’s home!

I’ll leave with you a little something we’ve been discussing of late (v 20 is the crux)!

18-19 and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself.
20 Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

Happy Sprinter (Spring/Winter-who knows around here!)

I wanted to send just a quick update regarding our upcoming week.
Tuesday, the 25th, Carla is scheduled for surgery at 7:30 am. Please remember to keep Carla, Dr. Schwab, the nurses, staff, etc... in your prayers as she closes in on the end of this journey.

We’re continuing to stand in complete faith knowing the Word works:

Philippians 1:6
Mark 11:24

I will hopefully find time to write a follow-up on Tuesday evening from the hospital (it will be shared here). The doctor anticipates a few days stay and then onto the farm for the recovery (6-8 weeks).
