For generations, we’ve carried the weight of racism, disrespect, and injustice. From slavery, to segregation, to today’s everyday discrimination — it’s trauma stacked on trauma.

My anger is not just hate. It’s grief. It’s exhaustion. It’s the cry of my soul saying: “We deserve better. We deserve safety. We deserve respect.”

But I know this truth: carrying hate too long only eats away at my spirit. That’s what racism was designed to do — to break us down, to keep us bitter, to dim our light.

So I choose to turn this pain into power.
I choose to turn this anger into strength.
I choose to turn this grief into love for my people and pride in my Blackness.
