Hey friends π
Truly, the best friends I've ever had. I'm so grateful I've gotten to make memories over the past almost-decade of being a hairstylist. We've laughed and cried, experienced grief and so much joy together! It's been completely unbelievable the amount of support I've received over the years from you all. So, with that said, I'm on to my next chapter...
We sold our building on Friday April 11th, and I will be a stay-at-home mom of our 2 children...and another one on the way; due in October!
Thank you so much for trusting me with your hair over the years...but even more so, thank you for your friendship. This is not goodbye! Please reach out via my personal Facebook messenger/profile and/or via text if you have my number. I'd love to continue our friendships, so please keep updating me on your lives! I'll cherish you forever, and thank you so much, again! πππ

This was Otis' sleeper, but add a headband and get a girlier look! Just for pictures, though. Olive doesn't love headbands, really. π₯°

I don't do blowouts often, but when I do... π
The first picture is grey coverage with highlights and lowlights. 2nd picture is the start of going lighter from a very dark base. Both haircuts have lots of layers and I LOVE that. Layers are the key to those *trendy* 90s hairstyles you may have been seeing everywhere recently. If you're into that, I'm your stylist!
I hope to see you soon ππ

La Belle is getting a face-lift next week. It'll look a bit different, and I'm excited! Always looking to better your experience. π
Also, random...I've had my phone for about 3 years, and I've had the popsocket and case that whole time. I think people change theirs out more often than I do. Do you get a new case often or just stick with yours for awhile/forever? Lol π

Layers and dimension for the WIN! I love adding movement and taking out bulk with layers. And the different colors in this brunette balayage? Obsessed! This was a "big" appointment which included lightening a lot of her ends, toning the hair left out in between the lightened pieces, then toning the light pieces after. Worth it! Next appointment will be a "small" one where we'll do a tone and trim to maintain. π
Are you ready to change up your hair? Message me to set it up!

I use the color wheel ALL the time to custom formulate your haircolor. I use the traditional RYB (red, yellow, blue) color wheel. However, I found this concept so interesting to think about "primary" colors differently! CMY (cyan- a sort of bright blue, magenta, and yellow). The super basic idea of this color wheel is you can make more vibrant colors? So interesting. I really want to look more into it because it still is such a new and different concept! Ethan and I were just talking about how to make certain colors with Playdoh (as one does when playing with your 2 year old π€ͺ). Theoretically, based on RYB, I suggested certain pairs of colors, but they'd come out kind of muddy; often greyish. Playdoh may also just defy normal laws of ~physics~. Not sure π anywho, enjoy this random info! π
Controversial Color Theory: RYB vs CMY Color Wheel - What are the REAL Primary Colors? Red, blue and yellow, or cyan, yellow and magenta? Which are the REAL primary colors? And which primary color wheel is the best for color mixing and color ha...

Otis is so helpful! I cut his hair, and then he took it upon himself to start sweeping. He was also very excited to go to Kwik Trip after to get bananas π

As of right now, we're on a once a year maintenance schedule, so a few inches off and a fresh color to spruce it up it was!
Subtle highlights to blend away a few greys (my favorite!) She came in with that request, but didn't have another preference, so I took that information and decided to do baby fine highlights through her part and around her hairline to mimic the pattern of naturl greys. I also added more lightness through her ends for contrast and dimension. Finished off with a custom toner! I mentioned instead of once a year, baby steps, but maybe twice a year just to tone the existing blonde but nor add more highlights at that time, and a haircut of course!
It was so amazing catching up with Mary! She's literally so sweet and full of so much wisdom and realness. I'm so grateful for my guests turned friends π₯°
