Been busy at work 😊 With Selah Jo’s opening approaching quickly, I wanted to take a moment to remind us of the true intention behind this studio.

As many of you know, my dad passed away unexpectedly on November 30th, 2024. That loss changed everything for me.There were times after losing him when I didn’t really know how to take care of myself. Sometimes, the only thing I knew how to do was go somewhere and let someone else take care of me for a little while.

Those moments meant more to me than I realized at the time. To sit down, breathe, relax, feel cared for, feel special, and have someone make life feel a little lighter for an hour.When the vision for Selah Jo started becoming clear, I knew that was the feeling I wanted to create for other people.

I knew I had to go all in.. not only for myself, but for my dad too. I pray that in some small way, this place represents the love he showed me throughout my life and allows me to pass a little bit of that love on to others.

I wanted every part of Selah Jo to feel intentional. Detailed. Meaningful. Selah is a biblical word often understood as a pause.. a moment to stop, reflect, and simply be. That is so much of what I want this studio to represent.

This is only the beginning. I have so many ideas for what I hope Selah Jo becomes, and I cannot wait to share them with you.

To everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, followed along, trusted me enough to already book an appointment, or simply plans to stop in and see what I’ve created..thank you. Truly.

On opening day, I’ll have a few little gift bags, cupcakes, and I’m hoping to offer $10 lip, chin, nose, or eyebrow waxes for anyone who wants to stop in. More details + a time to come. 🫶🏼
