Hair grows at different speeds, which means some strands break off shorter and never make it to the perimeter.

If we only trim the ends, we’re missing those damaged pieces 👀

This method allows me to target and remove split ends throughout the hair, not just where you can see them at first glance.

That’s the difference between “a trim” and a strategic haircut ✨

Once we began lightening, it became clear that her ends had pre-existing compromise from past color history, which wasn’t fully visible beforehand. That discovery shifted our approach, and we adjusted by slowing the process and being more intentional to protect her hair’s integrity 🖤
A reminder that sometimes hair reveals its history only once it’s lifted and why thoughtful blonding always wins.
