Arkansas Therapeutic and Medical Massage offers the manipulation of soft tissue in many ways. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports, Pre- and Peri- Natal, Reflexology, TMJD, Neuromuscular, Hot Stone, and Lymphatic Drainage Massage are implemented here. Swedish- increases blood flow, breaks down scar tissue, increase serotonin and norepinepherine, decrease cortisol (stress hormone - adrenal response)

Deep Tissue- relieves chronic patterns of tension and helping with injury

Neuromuscular- This medically-oriented form of massage addresses tender muscle points, circulation, nerve compression (pinched nerves), postural issues, and problems caused by repetitive movement

Sports- promotes flexibility, reduces recovery time after a workout, and helps prevent and aids in healing from an injury

Reflexology- stimulates or decompresses nerve endings corresponding to distant organs and body zones

Pre and Peri Natal- reduce anxiety, improve labor experience, hip and lower back release, hormone levels associated with relaxation are significantly altered and improve cardiovascular health

TMJD (Temporal-Mandibular Joint Dysfunction)- an EXTREMELY common problem in today's society .... tight jaw... causing neck pain, migraine headaches, dental problems and increased fatigue. The treatment for this problem is intense and effective, as it involves muscle release from inside the mouth. Lymphatic Drainage- usually recommended after the removal of lymph nodes- a light, slightly kneading massage that greatly aids the body in "flushing" metabolic waste.
