Me immediately adding in jumping and heel drops to my work warm-up after finding out how good they are at improving bone mineral density in women 🤯

This weekend I was able to offer massage at On Angels' Wings Spa Day event for mothers šŸ’œ

On Angel’s Wings is a non-profit organization that offers therapeutic photography and grief recovery services and supports families with medically fragile children or navigating loss. The work they offer to the community is so incredible!

It was a very special day spent with these women that reminded me again why I do what I do and what is truly important in life. I’m so grateful I was be able to offer massage to these moms whose hearts shine so bright🌟

May 1st I will be celebrating 2 years since becoming an LMT and owning my massage therapy business. It’s kind of surreal!

These past 2 years have been an incredible learning experience for me and I've worked with so many wonderful folks along the way.

People ask me often if I enjoy what I do. And the answer to that is 100% YES. I am so thankful that I took this leap even though it hasn't been easy. The great things in life usually never are.

I have poured my heart and soul into this venture and I feel incredibly fortunate to be in the position that I am.

I am so thankful for all of you who have trusted me to work with you over the past few years. It’s still so crazy to me that work no longer feels like punching the clock or just doing what I have to do to pay my bills. Going to work is joyful and meaningful now. I have truly found my life’s passion through therapeutic touch.

Here’s to many more years of massage in my future!

Service Highlight: Prenatal MassagešŸ’«

Some of you may know that I completed my massage schooling during my pregnancy with my son. I was fully immersed in developing my skills as a Massage Therapist while also undergoing one of the most radical changes to my body up to this point in my life. I didn't have an easy pregnancy per se, but fortunately I was able to receive a lot of bodywork that helped get me through the rough spots. I think because of this, prenatal massage has a soft spot in my heart and working and connecting with other moms is just really special.

I have a deep understanding of the challenges and stressors that moms are going through during this time of change and growth and just how important it is to be able to step into a safe space and know that you are in good hands.

And I now have a ✨deluxe✨ prenatal bolster that allows moms to lay on their bellies without any discomfort or strain on baby. I was able to use this bolster for massages while I was pregnant and absolutely loved it. I had to give it a try for old times sake today and it was bliss! I didn’t want to get up. I'm very excited to have one at my office for clients to use. I am also trained in side-lying technique and offer appropriate bolstering if you prefer to lay on you side and can provide accommodations if you are unable to lay on your back.

Prenatal Massage is offered at either a 60 or 90-Minute session length. All massages are completely customized to meet your session goals.

If you have ANY questions about prenatal massage or any other massage services I offer, feel free to shoot me a message here, text, or email.

I often get asked for recommendations for stretching. And while isolated stretches can be beneficial, I believe a more fluid and dynamic approach that targets multiple joint sites will be the most effective for relaxing strained muscle groups. Performing a series of intentional movements paired with breath is a great way to help loosen up areas of concern and get a fuller picture of what may be happening in your body.

Lately I’ve been having some constant soreness at the front of my hip. I took some time off from walking and jogging with the recent winter weather we had, and now, getting back into my routines, I’m incurring some pain in my hip area. So, I thought I’d show you a traditional yoga standing flow series that I’ve been incorporating here and there over the last few days that has been helping me with this issue.

This flow can be done in less than 5-minutes, but if you have the time, slow it down and-repeat as many times as you’d like šŸ’•
