Happy Summer! Just wanted to touch base with you & let you know I am currently not accepting new clients due to me reducing my salon hours. If you are not currently on my regular client rotation, I unfortunately am unable to book you. I am not retiring! Just cutting back to protect my body. Please check back, here & there, if you'd like to see if anything in the future changes & see if any openings have come up. Hope everyone enjoys their summer!

Sometimes just doing "color" is fun too & not as straight forward as you'd think. Client wanted to go darker, & had an inspiration photo to try to get close to. I think we got close

Since my schedule is currently full & I can't take on any new clients for a while, it was fun to do a new client (who booked with me MONTHS ago) Her curls turned out beautifully!

This long time client also came in this week for a sun-kissed baylayage for an upcoming birthday vacation.

Long time client was nervous about a haircut change, but she REALLY wanted a change. She had been told by a past stylist that short hair wouldn't look good on her. I disagree, I think shorter really compliments her beautiful face. So today she let me have freedom to do whatever I wanted. Super fun, super cute!

I typically don't work Christmas Eve, but this morning I opened up for one of my LA clients that likes to come in when she's in town & I've been doing her hair for years, even while she's literally moved around the globe. She waits to see me. So for that loyalty, I make exceptions. She wanted to "chop" it! She'll be ringing in the new year with a cute, sassy new style. Merry Christmas from Kari's Hair Studio! Another fun Fall baylayage. Client wanted Fall colors with an inspiration picture. Since it's been over a year since I've had the pleasure of working with this lovely client, I had the challenge of getting the chocolate base color & vivid colors all in one process. I'll admit, the request had me chewing on my plan for this, in the allotted time frame, over the weekend, but was able to get it done in 3 hrs AND in a single process WITH a cut!! Turned out great!

Fun blonding today. Sweet client was already naturally blonde but wanted less gold yellow & more ash blonde without losing all of her natural golden for balance. Turned out beautifully

Fun cut & education session for a new curly client who's previous stylist is retiring. Was using all the correct products, but timing of how she was applying them was a tad off, so education session was perfect. Cut & set were so much fun!
