Not everyone is lining up for the darkest tan in my studio…

Most folks come to me for my magical powers in crafting the most natural looking tans around. (Yes, I’m tooting my own horn here!) 🚂🚂

Sarah, for instance, wanted to keep her skin looking like, well, her skin. And I just love hearing that!!!👆🏼

Her undertones are a sweet, blush pink (as you can see), and I knew that the instant she walked in.

Nope, I didn’t get this from any certification or master course.
Nope, no skin/undertone charts involved.
Nope, didn’t learn it from a YouTube tutorial or video.
Nope, no formal training whatsoever.

Ayyy, let’s spread some SUNLESS TAN AWARENESS! 🗣️ 🩹

One of my clients sent me these pictures today, and I immediately knew what it was from…

I sprayed her on Wednesday, and it’s Friday, so she’s still developing. I immediately knew it was leftover cosmetic bronzer. But the shape and way it looked told me it was from a bandage or some type of tape!

Typically, the skin holds that glue from bandages/tape for a while and can cause the cosmetic bronzer to grab on and stain exactly where the glue is leftover. Even if they do EVERYTHING they are supposed to do after a sunless tan is applied, it will always grab on and stain exactly where the bandages or tape were.

When someone comes to me for a spray tan, I can normally see glue leftover on the skin after spraying them, and I always ask if they had a bandaid on or were in the hospital in the past 2 weeks. I am almost always right!

Most people do not know there’s glue leftover on their skin from bandages/tape and find out after a spray tan or using self-tanner.

So.. what can we use to remove leftover glue off of the skin before getting a sunless tan?
Get a towel/washcloth damp with warm water or *vinegar* (works best) and rub downward wherever the tape/bandage was. It will take a few times to work the glue off!

Btw, she did beautifully following my instructions, and her tan is AMAZING. 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻

No matter how natural a sunless tanner looks, blending is done, hydration spray is put on, and how much powder gets brushed on afterwards… The skin will always appear fake, blotchy, dried out, and crack IF you don’t know what you’re doing.😘
