It’s taking me a bit… but it was inevitable that I would be inspired to write about indigenous land and people for my Lila Blu meditation music. Hiking to the Havasupai tribe was so special to me. Now the lands of the indigenous are at risk. Last week I played Native American flute, tribal hand percussion, my voice and keys to start writing an album to honor these sacred lands and tribal communities. Here is a small sample of what’s to come.

I perhaps have started writing something different for Lila Blu… capturing every element of sound I have wanted to deliver. My deepest moments have always been in the desert… and my most special visit was hiking 30 miles total in the Grand Canyon to see the Havasupai Tribe. Today our indigenous territories seem at risk, and this saddens me. I have started to write an album to celebrate the sacred lands and the indigenous people that inhabit them. Here are some pics of that visit. I hope to have this music to you soon…
