✨✨This month we are shining the employee spotlight on one of our UH-MAZE-ING Licensed Massage Therapists... Sierra! 🙌💚

🌸 Sierra has been an LMT for 16 years and with Uplift Spa since January 2026.
🌼 Her specialties are trigger point therapy combined with deep tissue, being able to give clients relief with a more targeted treatment in the areas that are giving them pain.
🌸 In her free time, Sierra enjoys reading, hot yoga, and gardening.
🌼 Fun facts: Sierra read over 200 books in 2025 and she knew she wanted to become a massage therapist at 11 years old after giving her mom regular foot massages.

💆💆🏼‍♂️WAXING 101: Pre-and Post-Care

✨ Before Your Appointment ✨

✅ Hair should be 1/4 inch long (about 2–3 weeks of growth). No longer than 1/2 inch.
✅ Exfoliate the area 24–48 hours before your appointment.
✅ Arrive with clean skin free of lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup.
✅ Avoid sunburn, tanning, and retinoids or concentrated exfoliating (like AHA serums) products on the area for one week before your wax.
✅ Inform your esthetician of any medications or recent skin treatments.

✨ After Your Appointment ✨

For the first 24 hours, avoid:
✅ Hot showers, baths, saunas, and hot tubs
✅ Exercise or excessive sweating
✅ Swimming
✅ Direct sun exposure or tanning
✅ Fragranced products, retinoids, and exfoliants

✨ To Keep Skin Smooth ✨

✅ Moisturize daily with a gentle, fragrance-free lotion.
✅ Begin gentle exfoliation 48 hours after your appointment, then 2–3 times per week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
✅ Wear loose-fitting clothing after body waxing.
✅ Use sunscreen on exposed waxed areas.
