We unfortunately are still having work done at our house, leaving the outside in total disarray! We have decided to make the executive decision to stay closed one more week until the work is done.. we apologize for any inconvenience and look for forward to seeing you back!

As I was packing up simmer pots tonight on our fall transition break I was reminded of our humble beginnings💕☺️
When our son’s lung collapsed I said nope. No more chemicals in this house, no more artificial fragrances, all of it had to go. ✌️

So the hunt began. To make my house smell great without all of the unnecessary extras.
Long story short I started making dehydrated simmer pots for myself to have on hand to throw together whenever the house needed to smell nice! Throw in a little sauce pan with water or a crockpot and leave it be.

Then a friend asked if I could make one for them.. then a friend of that friend.
Then a friend asked if I could throw together and handful for a baby shower, then some for wedding favors, and another.

My boss so graciously gave me a little shelf in her cafe to sell the simmer pots and sell they did.

Now nearly 5 years later from the beginning we have shipped simmer pots to nearly every state on the East Coast and they are the very reason why there is even a Dancing Quail Homestead to begin with.

One small idea. Shared with a friend. Who shared it with another.

Now we are not known for simmer pots, but they do still in fact have a very special place in our shop and on a shelf in that cafe. ☕️
