Join us on July 4 at 1:30 PM at the Jaycee Stage in Frontier Park as we officially open the 1976–2026 Time Capsule during Riverfest. This is a rare chance to see what our community sealed away half a century ago — and to celebrate how far we’ve come.

From the opening performance by the Gateway Men’s Chorus to an afternoon packed with drag, music, dance, story time, and even our beloved Doggy Drag Show, Pride St. Charles is bringing a full day of celebration to the Family Arena!

Hosted by the fabulous Venus O’Hara and Roxie Valentine, this year’s lineup features returning favorites, first-time performers, family-friendly entertainment, and talented artists from across our region. Every performer helps make Pride St. Charles the welcoming, joyful celebration our community deserves.

🎸 After an amazing day of local talent, we’re thrilled to welcome our headliner, Kristy Lee, to the Pride St. Charles stage! And the celebration doesn’t stop there — we’ll continue the fun with even more incredible local performers after her.

❤️ We truly could not do this without the incredible entertainers who share their talents and help create a day filled with love, visibility, and joy. If you’d like to support our performers, we’ll have tip buckets available throughout the day, as well as QR codes for digital tips and donations.

🎶 Following her performance, Kristy Lee will have her own booth for a meet & greet and merchandise sales, so be sure to stop by, say hello, and tag us!

To our beloved St. Charles family, It is truly difficult to put into words what the past few years at 519 S. 5th St. have meant to us. ❤️

When we first opened Grounded and Free in early 2024, we didn't know what we were doing, but, we did it with a simple dream: to create a sanctuary where everyone who walked through our doors could feel truly welcomed, loved and "grounded and free."

Today, we are sharing the bittersweet news that we have made the decision to close our physical doors permanently at the end of October 2026. 💔

This has not been an easy choice, but it is one that allows our business to grow in the direction our hearts are leading us.

We want to say the deepest, most sincere thank you to the people of St. Charles. You have been so much more than customers to us; you are the reason this "hidden gem" found its heartbeat.

Whether we shared a quiet morning over a coffee flight, helped you find that perfect piece in our boho boutique, or simply shared a laugh, a cry or a hug while you relaxed in our lounge, those moments have shaped our lives.

Your kindness and support have meant the world to us, and we are eternally grateful for the friendships we’ve made along the way.

Our Next Chapter: Bringing the Boutique to You!

While our storefront is closing, Grounded and Free is staying alive on the road! We are transitioning to a fully mobile business with our trailer, Gilli.

This nomad journey means we get to bring the Grounded and Free experience directly to you at the festivals and community events you love.

We aren't just bringing our handcrafted lattes and Lotus energy drinks—we are bringing the boutique with us! You can still shop our beautiful bohemian clothing right from our trailer as we travel to our next adventure.

We want to spend these last few months at the shop celebrating and sharing past memories with you!

Starting the first week of July 2026, we will transition to a weekends-only schedule. We hope you’ll stop by on Saturdays and Sundays to help us toast to the incredible memories we've built in this space.

🌈St. Charles Pride Fest: June 20th at the Family Arena.

🧨Riverfest: July 3rd and 4th at Frontier Park.

👨‍🌾St. Charles Farmers Markets: Find us at our regular Saturday spots throughout the season.

🍺Oktoberfest: Join us at Frontier Park in late September for one last celebration before our final shop closure.
