Hey, it’s me!
I’ve been struggling with social media for a while now. I have so many beautiful pictures of my work to post, but I keep hitting this wall where I feel like I’m always posting more of the same.
Not the same brows, lips, eyeliner, or tattoos, because every single one is unique when it comes to the technicalities. But I guess the same format of these transformations. And then the same captions too. While I do like educating everyone about the techniques, I started feeling like it was getting repetitive and generic.
I’m still finding a way to show more of the real side of my work, but it’s a process. At the end of the day, this is art, and it’s a constant learning process. And honestly, it’s getting kind of harder with so many AI things out there making everything look perfect and polished.
While I was having these thoughts and going through photos, I found these brows I did back in August.
At first, I looked at them the way I always do, as the artist. Checking the shape, the color, the balance, and all the little details.
But then I noticed her smile.
And it reminded me that this isn’t just a picture of brows.
She was feeling good in that moment.
And that’s what I actually want to deliver.
It’s something that seems “simple,” like brows. But after 6 years of doing permanent makeup, I’ve had the chance to transform so many brows with so many different stories behind them.
Someone who has been through chemotherapy. Someone with alopecia. Someone who lost brow hair from stress, picking, or hair pulling. Or, like 80% of my clients, someone who is still haunted by the days they over-plucked their brows.
And that’s just brows.
With lips, I’ve worked with cleft lips, accident scars, and so many other stories. And I won’t even start with tattoos and how many people have gotten emotional after getting their piece done.
Anyways, I started looking at my work with different eyes. And that was the inspiration I needed to get back to posting more and showing more of what I do.
Sorry for the long post, and if it sounds cheesy. 😅
Thank you for being here and supporting my work!!!! 🫶🏻
