Just a girl doing what makes her soul happy. Teaching body positive yoga, making natural products us Hi there! I'm Erin Nicole Vehige, hence the ENV.

And this is my page dedicated to being PURELY me. Mostly, this is a place for me to house my dive into the yoga world, but I also make natural skin care and other natural household products that I'm happy to make for you too. Expect to see my open yoga schedule, be invited to open yoga classes, and learn how you can get me to come to you!

Spring Equinox Yoga: An Evening of Awakening & Renewal - https://mailchi.mp/60b859060ea9/updates-offerings-6274829

03/07/2023

This poem by Poet Laureate Ada Límon speaks on the gentle and slow acceptance of allowing life (and Spring) to open as it comes. Speaking to both the difficult and the simple, Límon examines the beauty of embracing all that life offers not as an abrupt act or sharp change of pace and mind, but as a gentle and tender leaning in to the softening of hope and resilience.

“Instructions on Not Giving Up”
Ada Limón, 2017

More than the fuchsia funnels breaking out
of the crabapple tree, more than the neighbor’s
almost obscene display of cherry limbs shoving
their cotton candy-colored blossoms to the slate
sky of Spring rains, it’s the greening of the trees
that really gets to me. When all the shock of white
and taffy, the world’s baubles and trinkets, leave
the pavement strewn with the confetti of aftermath,
the leaves come. Patient, plodding, a green skin
growing over whatever winter did to us, a return
to the strange idea of continuous living despite
the mess of us, the hurt, the empty. Fine then,
I’ll take it, the tree seems to say, a new slick leaf
unfurling like a fist to an open palm, I’ll take it all.

Join me online or in studio (Empowered Spaces) for a 90-minute, trauma-informed, gentle and restorative yoga class infused with Holy Fire Reiki energy to contemplate the season of rebirth, renewal and new beginnings.

Let’s let the soft animal of our bodies feel the balance of the equinox and begin to gently awaken from our winter slumber to the coming of life renewed in the spring.

Hey there friends, I’m slowly making my way back to teaching. Come join me on Saturday mornings! You’re worth it! Don’t let cost be a factor. Reach out for more details.

Join Erin Vehige (she/her) for Halt the Hustle: 5-week Hybrid Trauma-Informed Yoga Series starting November 19.

This yoga series is designed to help us slow down from this daily hustle, especially now during the holiday season which can bring on added pressure and stress.

Society has been designed to make us feel like our worth is based on our production, so we need to remember that we are worthy just as we are, right now. We do not need to do ANYTHING to be loved, held, or supported. We are enough. You are enough.

And slowing down IS absolutely necessary. Rest IS productive.

The daily hustle is not who we are, but how often have you said “where did the time go?” If you’re like me, it’s often. We barely have time to know our own selves.

What would you do if you had the time to just be? As Mary Oliver writes in her poem “The Summer Day”:

Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do. With your one wild and precious life?

Let this series be your wake up to the revolutionary practice of restoring yourSELF to yourself. Together, we’ll step away from the hustle (or grind) culture and just be free to explore who we are through movement, meditation, and community.

During these 5 weeks we will start to scratch the surface of the restorative revolution and see that we truly are enough, right now.

Through the series we will explore slow and gentle movement, meditation, breath practices, restorative poses, yoga nidra, journaling/art, and community, knowing that any and all practices are only an invitation. There will be many options to choose from at all times.

So, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
