WHO TAUGHT YOU HOW TO BE A MAN?

For me, I’d have to say life itself, my church, my family, and more importantly, God. A lot of lessons came through experience, some good, some hard, but my relationship with God continues to shape the man I’m becoming.
I’m curious, who taught YOU how to be a man? What’s one thing they taught you that you still carry today? 👇🏾

Got a good workout in today at the Melvin Theater over on Chippewa. 💪🏾
A lot of people probably don’t know the history behind this place. The Melvin opened back in 1914 as a neighborhood movie theater right here on the South Side. Over 100 years later and it’s still being used to serve the community, now they even have an outdoor calisthenics park out here.
I love seeing stuff like this in our neighborhoods. Taking something with history and giving it new purpose.

That’s one thing about this business I’ll never overlook. You start out giving somebody a haircut, and before you know it, years have passed. You’ve watched life happen, had countless conversations, laughed, talked business, family and everything in between.

Some clients become more than appointments.

That’s one of the best parts of being a barber.
