🚨 UPDATE : CHRISSIE WATKINS CAUSE OF DEATH RULED SHARK ATTACK 🦈 🩸

”Well, this is not a boat accident. It wasn't any propeller, it wasn't any coral reef, and it wasn't Jack the Ripper. It was a shark.” Rest in peace to Chrissie Watkins, who was the first victim on this day in 1974 of a string of great white shark attacks during that fateful summer on Amity Island. Watkins, who was visiting the island of Amity for summer break, was attacked off the islands' south beach while skinny dipping.

*Although Chief Brody’s official report states the death occurred on 7-1-74, Chrissie Watkins fatal attack was actually June 28th. Alex Kintner, the sharks second human victim, was attacked on June 29th. Brody also misspells “coroners” as “corners” on his report. In short, he should’ve let Polly do the printing.

Remembering Alexander "Alex" Maxwell Kintner, who was killed by a great white shark attack on Amity Town Beach on this day in 1974. Unofficially, Alex was the shark's second victim of the day, following the disappearance of a dog named "Pippit". However, Mayor Larry Vaughn would keep the beaches open.
