Southern Sun Tanning Boutique, is an Upscale Shop and a 5 diamond Devoted Creations Salon, catering especially to the tanning elite of Coastal Camden County. Southern Sun should not be confused with a "tikki hut" style tanning salon...it's very Coastal and Southern in nature! Southern Sun opened its doors as a new business on August 3, 2012. Allison Wagner, the proprietor, brought her deep southern roots of hospitality into her aspiring new business. She has resorted back to her roots in order to bring Sun Kissed Skin and Southern Hospitality together in her community! Allison was a Chef on Amelia Island for Amelia Island Plantation under the Chef Brigade led by the well respected Jackie Burette working predominately in Garde Manger in the Culinary Conference Kitchen, the Sous Chef of Marche Burette, and later Ocean Grill fine dining at the Amelia Inn. She also helped her family start Creative Catering and Design, a small quaint upscale deli and catering service, in Woodbine. She has also been a public servant for the past six years working for Mcintosh County, Long County, and Camden County Sheriffs Office. She is no stranger to outstanding guest services or impeccable public service. It is Allison's desire to bring her experience from Amelia Island together with her knack for giving and helping others to Bless her guests with the sweet Southern charm they deserve! Guests can expect to see EXTENSIVE changes being made throughout the remainder of the year. Each month, they will notice an overall energy of "Shabby Chic meets Front Porch Swing". Like something you'd find featured in a Southern Living magazine! Magnolias (being, not only her favorite flower, but a timeless Southern fixture of beauty and perseverance) are going to serve as the emblem for what is aspiring to become the best little boutique in Camden County! While the main and common areas will project a unified ambiance, each tanning room and bed will have its OWN individual "theme" paying homage to geographical Southern sites: Kings Bay, Cumberland, Amelia, Savannah, St. Simons Island & Jekyll Island.
