Rubbing collagen on your face is the equivalent of rubbing protein powder on your muscles to build them.

Collagen isn’t an ingredient you apply; it’s a process you trigger.

I get why people chase higher percentages on skincare labels. More sounds better, right?

But percentages mean nothing if the formulation isn’t built correctly.

4 things determine if a product works:
✔️ Percentage
✔️ pH
✔️ Delivery system
✔️ Raw ingredient quality

Next time you’re eyeing a new product, ask your esthetician to break down the formulation to find out if it’s actually effective, or just marketing...

If your skin is acting up during pregnancy, I hear you. But this isn't the time for actives.

The truth is, we don't have enough safety research on how certain ingredients absorb into the bloodstream during pregnancy — so it's better to wait than to guess.

Right now, your best tools are nourishment and hydration. Everything else can wait.

Not sure what's safe? Book a virtual consultation and let's map out a pregnancy-safe routine together.

The comedogenic scale is not the resource you think it is.

This scale tests ingredients at 100% potency, and manufacturers do not formulate skincare products that way.

For example, coconut oil in your moisturizer might be at only 2% potency, blended with dozens of other ingredients — nowhere near enough to clog pores. But the comedogenic scale, built on 100% potency assumptions, flags it as pore clogging anyway.

The comedogenic scale is great for fear-mongering and marketing, but a terrible guide for what’s actually safe for your skin.

The vitamin C percentage on your label means nothing without the right pH behind it.

Healthy skin isn't just about the products you apply. True skin health is a reflection of what's happening inside your body — your sleep, your stress, your hormones. And at the foundation of all of it is what you eat. Feed your body well, and your skin will show it.

Fragrance in skincare isn't automatically a red flag.

The real question is where it's coming from. Botanically derived fragrance from vanilla, lavender, or citrus is very different from synthetic perfume added to make a product smell a certain way. One can offer antioxidant support — the other is what triggers sensitivity, irritation, and potential endocrine disruption.

Don't let fear based marketing convince you that smelling good means harming your skin.

Retinol without peptides is like renovating a house without fixing the foundation first.

Reapplying sunscreen more often always beats a higher SPF.
