Due to some recent health concerns the last few months, my husband and I have decided that I need to slow some things in my life down for a bit.

So, for now, I have decided to shut my doors to my sweet little shop, “Facetyme with Monica”.

10 years ago, I took a huge leap of faith, went to cosmetology school, graduated and started a business that had been a long time passion of mine…nurturing the body, mind, and soul of my friends.

Facials became more than caring for the skin…it meant going deeper and talking about things of the heart and soul, too. Sometimes, you just need a listening ear, non judgmental place to vent, or a quiet place for some serious nappage.

I have studied and worked hard to know “my stuff”, to help women feel amazing in their own skin and to be as knowledgeable as I could for them.

If you really know me, then you know I have a passion for skin and for just loving on people.

I have made lifelong friendships and I cherish that more than I could ever express. For now…I’m only a phone call or text away.

Closing a chapter on these last 10 years and who knows what the next chapter will hold for me. And, if you know me, then you know I hate to disappoint or turn away anyone….so that makes it even more bittersweet. I have poured all my energy into my clients and my business and it has been an awesome and rewarding ride. Learning to say “no” and “not right now” has been a lesson that has been a long time coming… but it’s a great feeling when you can finally say it.

So for now, I’m going to enjoy the ride wherever it takes me, even if it’s just to sit on my back porch.

This will be the first time in many years that I will not be open for Black Friday or Shop Small Saturday this weekend, as I will be out of town with family. I sure will miss seeing so many faces and participating in Shop Small.
