Staten Islanders will see changes to their commute starting Monday, December 8, as NYC Ferry rolls out its finalized system updates.

The existing NYC Ferry St. George route which serves Battery Park City and Midtown West will expand to connect riders to Brooklyn and Manhattan's east side, with new stops at Bay Ridge, Atlantic Avenue, and Wall Street.

These updates build on NYC Ferry’s July proposals under the Ferry Optimization Plan, finalized by the New York City Economic Development Corporation. The plan incorporated feedback from over 15,000 riders, many of whom noted that the new routes would improve access and encourage greater use of the system.

Thank you to NYC Councilwoman Kamillah Hanks for her strong advocacy in advancing the improved St. George route for Staten Island.👏
