A busy week of clients, case studies, and dodging rainstorms to get ride time in!
Here are two of my favorites displaying classic post-session releases.

Did you know bodywork goes far beyond physical relief?

While it boosts circulation and improves range of motion, it also triggers dopamine release! activating the parasympathetic nervous system for true relaxation. Just like mutual grooming in the herd, this lowers tension and builds trust.
An attentive, relaxed horse learns faster and performs better. That is why pairing bodywork with groundwork creates such a powerful foundation for training.

Serving Statesville and surrounding areas.
New Client Discount: Take 10% off your first session when you book by October 7th.

This past Saturday, I was so lucky to attend the segment of T.E.D. on hoof balance! We did a deep dive on proper hoof alignment and why it is so important for our horses joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles and overall well being! We also dove into his app, HoofMapp and learned how to use it to document your horses hoof growth over time! Super neat! I love learning about the whole horse, not just bodywork so i can look at the bigger picture🥰💙

Have a horse going through changes? Here’s why bodywork helps.

When a horse undergoes structural or environmental changes, such as altered farrier angles, saddle balance adjustments, or workload increases—their biomechanics shift. This alters load distribution across the kinetic chain, triggering myofascial restriction, muscle hypertonicity, and restricted range of motion (Elbrønd & Schultz, 2021). Targeted manual therapy directly reverses these mechanical stressors by enhancing localized circulation, disrupting fascial cross-linking, and stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system to decrease systemic stress (Argüelles et al., 2021).
Prophylactic bodywork preserves biomechanical symmetry far better than reactive treatment. Waiting for overt lameness or behavioral pushback allows micro-trauma and compensatory movement patterns to entrench within the neuromuscular system (Clayton, 2016). Routine tissue evaluations establish a reliable baseline, catching subtle subclinical restrictions and hypertonic muscle groups before they escalate into chronic pathology or gait abnormalities (Haussler, 2020).
Keeping myofascial tissue elastic optimizes neuromuscular recruitment, allowing horses to adapt to structural transitions with maximum movement efficiency and reduced injury risk. To support your horse's biomechanics through their next transition, text 704-880-8784 or send a direct message to book.
