Let’s talk about what a ‘perfect’ or ideal lash lift looks like 😊

A lash lift should
-lift and open the eyes
-have good lash separation (meaning no lashes are cross crossing each other)
-the lashes shouldn’t curl back on themselves
-the lashes should stay lifted for 6-8 weeks

- no signs of over curling

Hey! I know I’ve been MIA over the past few weeks on social media, but I have such an amazing reason! I have been working so hard over the past few months to expand my business and I have such a huge surprise to share with you!

I hired my very first employee last month and her name is Yessi. I asked her to write a bio so she could introduce herself to you!

Hii my name is Yessi. I’m a bilingual licensed esthetician and a lash and brow specialist in training. I’ve always been passionate about anything beauty and believe that when you look good you feel good. I began my esthetician journey in 2022 and wish to further my knowledge and grow as much as I can every day. I’ve been in the medical field for 5 years and though that is rewarding in its own way, there’s nothing else that beats seeing your clients reaction after completing a service that makes them feel beautiful. I’ve learned to love the esthetics industry and I cannot wait to grow with Element Lash and Brow Bar. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to concerts, traveling, and Latin dancing. Fun fact: I used to be apart of of a latin dance group in high school and I’m hoping to get back into it and join a dance group in the future. I can’t wait to meet you all and help you achieve your lash and brow goals!

Using my lash lifting method we were able to take her lashes from straight to lifted, separated and stunning 🤍

I used a medium shield and a 10/5 time split for the first and second lifting solution. I also made sure to place the rod 1mm away from base of the lashes but close enough to get a dramatic lift.

Do you style your brow laminations?

Brow lamination styling is so important, it cleans up your work and it is helpful for clients with sparse brows or missing hairs!

What exactly is brow styling?
Brow styling is using very minimal makeup to help define and polish the brows after a brow service.
The only products I will use is a tiny bit of concealer and a tiny bit of brow pen.

Brow styling can also be an additional tool your client can use later on.

By providing a mirror for your client and allowing them to see how you style the brows will help the client feel confident in how to recreate the look at home.

I find brow styling is a game changer in not only my satisfaction with my own work but with my clients satisfaction as well!

I noticed when she first came in that her brows were way too light for her hair and her complexion. I suggested that we slightly darken them and lift the brow hairs up and to the side for a more lifted sculpted look.

We were both so happy with how they turned out 😊

Your technique is EVERYTHING!

This client came in with someone else’s work and asked for a removal and fullset.

She wanted a long classic look that made her eyes look open and natural.

I thenxplained to herdo classic lashes but I that I use a technique to create a faux classic look.

We used 0.03 and 0.05 cc/d lashes lengths 9-16mm to creat this faux classic look.

What I chose to do was a brow lamination and tint.

Why?

I noticed almost immediately that her brow hairs were curly/wavy. In that case I almost always recommend a brow lamination to help tame the hairs and get them to lay flat. I also recommend a tint because I noticed some grey hairs in the brows as well.

How did I correct her shape?

I noticed her brows were heavy in the front and she has a wavy arch. So when I was removing hair I made sure to take some extra hair off the front top part of her brow and a little bit off the bottom of her tail to give an even appearance. I also noticed that the front of her brow started too far back so I placed some tint there and in the arch and later instructed her on how to fill in her brows at home and where her brows should start 😊

🗣️SHAPE CORRECTION!

Shape correction is such an important skill to master as a brow artist!

The amount of clients that come in complaining about the shape of their brows and how their brows aren’t even etc. is insane!

Brow correction is so much more than a good lamination and tint. It is so vital to educate your client on where they can improve. Including growing hair back in certain spots, avoiding plucking between appointments and how to fill in their brows at home by themselves.

You are a tool and a guide to help clients achieve even, fuller looking brows.

So make sure when you do any kind of shape correction you are speaking to your client and helping them the best you can. They will come back happier and your job will get easier as well!
