On this day in 2010 Salon Vie finished 3 months of construction and officially opened the doors to make its very first dollar. I was 25 years old. This feat was not achieved alone, it came with friends and family that believed in me.⁣
I did not take any bank loans, I saved every dollar I could to make it happen. Stacey and Mara, two women whom are still my good friends, each leant me $10k with only their belief, trust, and a handshake. I was able to pay them both back within the year. My ex was also a huge help. He supported the house hold, gave financially, and so much more. We contracted friends to do the buildout, painting, floors, graphic and logo design. We even had the wood work custom built by a friend! Each one of them pricing everything as best they could to help out. ⁣
I have so many great memories that I could go on and on about, but that’s not to say that I’ve haven’t also felt the struggle. There have been tears, long days, and hurt feelings. I’m proud to say that above it all I have always tried my best to make the right decisions and lead from the heart. It’s actually my biggest asset and weakest link. I believe in karma. I believe in second & third chances. I believe grudges require too much energy and space. I believe in honesty. I believe being kind and wanting the best for others will make me successful. I have no enemy’s, I carry no hate for anyone. I’m not rich in wealth but I am rich in soul and happiness. I’m healthly, I’m surrounded by so much love. We have the best clients in the world. My family, my sisters, my close friends know me and shower me with support and love. My best friend and boyfriend, J. Thank you for being my backbone when I didn’t have one and helping me grow even when times looked grim. You have always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. ⁣
Last but not least, thank you to everyone reading this. Without this community no small business would survive, especially through 2020. ⁣

Year 4 💫 We GREW!! Of course .u.z.z_w.o.r.t.h.y blinked in the photo 😂. joined for the first but certainly not the last time. & Crystal. Our rockstar rereceptionist got her make up artist certification therefore adding another service to our roster. . I taught continuing education and brought in an expert to teach barber skills. The marketing grind continued but no longer has a new salon. We were four years old therefore recognize in the community❤️

Year 2 💫 We had a hair show at So Addicted in Herndon that is no longer even there hahah. New employees joined and the hustle to market continued! Ohh how bad some of these photos are, makes the memory that much funnier 😂

Year 1 💫 It all started with a dream and people that believed in that dream.

With so little hair to work with, used a combination of microblading and shading techniques to achieve this look. Slide 2 is the before, they were drawn on using an eyebrow pencil. ⁣
