This is a bixie cut : round neck up with layers. Drop length on sides . I chose a razor for her hair type. Makes layers work together better for a course hair type.

New client , has fine hair, denser in back. I looked at her face shape and how her hair grows first. Discussed a side bang and angle down into length would flatter her face. When cutting straight hair I chose to point cut wet and a little more dry to make sure it moves together good with those layers to avoid a choppy layer cut.
This is so fun helping people like their hair!

New hair client , she needed a little more shaping so it moved and layers flowed better.
With thick dense hair a razor is my tool of choice. It blends the ends of layers to move together instead of stop and hang. Then I always check and sculpt layers a little dry as well. Made sure it moves well with the growth of hair.

It was time to freshen up her dimensional colors and 3 hours later look at all those colors coming together 😊

Decided to go a little shorter and again a full razor cut with extra sculpting once dry to help the layers move together better .

Full Razor cut because I wanted layers in back to blend together with out those ends looking choppy. I also sculpted more once dry on ends a little more to help it move together better. Such a fun cut !

She was ready for a change. I looked at her face shape and seen a layered short bob would help lift her up. And create more movement and body.
Her texture works good with a razor cut to help the layers not look choppy. I always dry the hair and see if the hair needs a little more sculpting to finish the style.
I love not just cutting but sculpting hair as I cut😁
