Atwood Community Gardens

Our Atwood Models introduce youth to career pathways in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and humanities through community gardening, volunteering, and a "bag of chips". Atwood is also our agricultural and environmental sciences program that converts underutilized green spaces into outdoor classrooms, community gardens, and nature-based activity hubs. Students visit Atwood Gardens to learn more about the scientific discovery method, geocaching, agricultural sciences and environmental engineering. We also host cultural and educational events at Atwood Gardens that encourage community science and increase involvement in health and wellness activities.
