I needed to hear this earlier in the week.

I had to stop and realize I had been going and going, running on empty trying to be here for everyone, trying to be in every place at once, trying to give and give…not realizing my tanks had been emptied out long before.

Of course no one notices, especially when you just keep going as if everything is just fine.

But what if it isn’t fine mama? Know that it’s okay to stop, breathe and wait. You have so many roles to play, so many tasks to do & so many lists to cross.

Give👏yourself👏grace👏.

It takes a lot to be a mother. You know that even if no one else knows, understands or appreciates it.
And during holidays and birthdays, it typically falls on the mom to bring warmth and joy to these special times in our lives.

So I want you to remember to give yourself grace. It’s okay if the tree isn’t up. It’s alright if toys are piling up and you decide to go easy on gifts this year.

As long as you have your littles, a place to eat and sleep and rejoice in God.. you have all you need.

Favored Mom lets pray: God, when I feel overwhelmed by what’s going on around me, please help me to come to You. I want You to be my strength for today and my hope for tomorrow. I know that You empower me to endure whatever comes my way. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

No matter how hard we try, how many plans we put in place or how many worldly things we use to relax & rebuild strength..none can compare or fully revitalize you the way your God can.

Say this prayer with me today Favored Mom as we enter a new week. We want to put our best foot forward & ensure our efforts will be met with the unmatched strength of the Lord. His hand is there to walk with us on our journeys.

Its just that simple. I noticed when I started to become lukewarm with my prayer & bible studies my life would feel more hectic and scattered.

Anytime I would pick up my bible or say a quick prayer I can feel the shift in energy. And just like that; God can wipe away all my tears and worries.

I also noticed that when I prayed and asked to remove and reveal anyone and anything that is no longer serving me; my circles and surroundings changed & my life did a complete 180.

Sometimes, the smallest prayers and intentions can work miracles but only if you believe them to. Faith without work is dead! Prayer without faith is dead!

It can get overwhelming being a mom, business owner and worker. There’s always something I have to get done and sometimes I can get lost in my tasks and not get anything done.

Here are a few key tips I’ve come to incorporate in my routines that make being productive a whole lot easier and less stressful.

- 🌞Try to wake up earlier. Starting your day before your kids or before the house wakes up gives you quiet time to think, talk to God & prepare for the day.

- 🗒️Prioritize tasks by making a to-do list. I run three businesses & 5 accounts on three different platforms. If I didn’t have a to do list I would be overwhelmed and behind on everything.

- 🎯Set realistic goals. Im not saying undermine yourself, im saying create SMART goals that you can attain little by little over a certain time period.

- 💥Minimize & Eliminate as many distractions you can. I tend to work on my most important tasks during my daughters naptimes or bedtime in order to get everything done uninterrupted.

- 🧖‍♀️Practice Self Care & Take a break when necessary. Mamas, pleaseeee do not burn yourself out because you feel you need to dedicate all of you to everyone else. Selfcare is NOT selfish!

- 🙅🏽‍♀️Know that its okay to say “no”. Being kind does not mean sacrificing your well being to keep others happy. If you know its not within your means to help out, its alright to say “no I cant right now”

- 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧 Connect with other moms, go out on play dates with women you can relate to. Staying confined to your home and your children is unhealthy. Making new connections can aid in your life as well as give you new perspectives on your dilemmas.

Remember, being a productive mom doesn't mean doing everything perfectly.
It's about finding a balance ⚖️ that allows you to accomplish your goals while also taking care of yourself and your family. 💟

Why? Because being a mom is hard work.

Why? Because a mother’s job is never done.

So we have no choice but to show up, constantly, no matter how we feel. We have to be a mom, a partner, a cook, a maid, a repairman, whatever the role is for the day we HAVE to show up.

And sometimes we can become so enthralled in our roles and trying to perfect everything that we forget to tell ourselves how amazing we are doing.
