I’m truly honored and grateful to be featured again by Voyage Magazine as one of their Rising Stars. Two years ago, I was highlighted as a delegate, and now I have the incredible privilege of being recognized as a reigning Queen. This full-circle moment means more to me than words can express. People see the glam, the gowns, the crowns,the photoshoots and the stage lights. But what they don’t always see is the work, the pressure, the advocacy, the travel, the preparation, and the responsibility that comes with wearing the crown. This is more than gowns and glam.
It’s showing up even when you're tired.
It’s advocating for causes bigger than yourself. It’s representing with purpose.
There’s a song that says, “I’ll go if I have to go by myself.” And this journey has taught me exactly that. Some days come with pressure, sacrifice, and quiet moments people will never see. But I’m still going. I’m still pushing. And I’m still showing up.
Because I’m representing this great state of Georgia, and I plan to show them exactly what these Georgia peaches are made of. 🍑👑
So make no mistake about it…
This Southern Belle didn’t come to play‼️
I came to represent my state, stand for my purpose, and leave it all on that stage. 💜

This crown is more than beauty for me it represents growth, purpose, and the strength it took to get here. Every step of this journey shaped the woman I am today. I’m not just wearing a crown… I’m honoring the journey, the lessons, and the faith that carried me through. Just a girl from south Georgia walking in purpose and chasing a dream bigger than fear. And no matter what happens on that national stage, I’m already proud of the woman I’ve become.
I am Felicia Vereen, your reigning Ms. Full-Figured Georgia Queen 2024, and in less than two months we will proudly represent the entire Peach State on the national stage. Let’s go Georgia‼️Newark, New Jersey....We are on our way🍑👑✨

Passion with purpose!! 👸🏽 Every person deserves a second chance…and a voice. 🗣️
I chose my platform, “From Prison to Purpose: Reducing Recidivism,” because I believe people are more than their past mistakes. Too often, individuals leave incarceration with no support, guidance, or real opportunity, and the system expects them to succeed anyway. I’m looking forward to expanding in this space, continuing to fight for and support these individuals, and being a strong voice for second chances and real change. ⚖️💪🏽

Today we honor a giant whose footsteps paved the way for so many of us to walk boldly in purpose. Reverend Jesse Jackson’s life reminds us that courage, faith, and unwavering commitment to justice can move mountains. As Ms. Full-Figured Georgia Queen 2024, I stand on the shoulders of leaders who fought for equity, dignity, and opportunity for all. May we continue to speak up, stand tall, and serve with purpose. A safe, clean place to live isn’t just shelter it’s a fresh start. It’s the space to breathe, reset, and build a real plan for what’s next. When individuals returning home have stability, they gain confidence, clarity, and the chance to truly succeed. I’m proud to highlight the impact of Georgia’s Best Haven as they provide supportive housing for reentry adults across Metro Atlanta creating opportunities, restoring dignity, and strengthening our communities one life at a time. Housing is more than four walls… it’s the foundation for second chances.

Atlanta is hosting its FIRST Reentry Simulation & PICs Awareness Event and this is more than just an event, it’s a movement. Reentry is real. The barriers are real. The stigma is real. If we truly want safer communities, we must understand the challenges returning citizens face and become part of the solution. This aligns deeply with my platform, From Prison to Purpose: Reducing Recidivism. Awareness creates empathy. Empathy creates change.
