One of my favorite things about faux locs is that they get your eye used to “Locs on you!” I think it is a beautiful way to explore the versatility behind having Locs and is a great tool to help set loc goals for future styling! like to have fun with everything I do!! Myth:

Wearing a hat causes your hair to thin.

Truth:

I can see why people would say this but it’s actually far from the truth.

Wearing a hat can actually protect your hair from direct sunlight, which can ultimately make the hair dry or color faded.

Even with Locs….a hat with tension bands or a hat that is to tight or small can cause some type of indent on the Locs after longer periods of time. But a loose hat or head wrap serves as an effective covering from the sun. Loc covering is a good practice for preserving hair color from the sun and eliminating debris or dust from settling in the Locs.
