Anyone guess Apple Cider Vinegar?
This is a staple in our house. The possibilities for ACV are pretty close to endless. We use it for pickling, detox baths when we are sick, I soak in it often because of my psoriasis, I rinse my hair with it, even works on ringworm.
When consumed it helps balance sugar levels, weight-loss, cholesterol and heart health, and digestive health. Can make salad dressings and marinades. It can also be used to clean or deodorize as it has a less pungent smell than white vinegar with similarities in power.
I have always purchased ACV from the store and this is my first time attempting to make it. This is a learning experience for us both. I'll revisit in 2 weeks with the first strain.
If you purchase from the store always purchase organic with the mother. You want a cloudy ish ACV, that's the perfect sign of the mother.
I took a half gallon mason jar filled it about 3/4 of the way full of organic gala apples, it was about 4 apples sliced. You can also use peels and cores left over. Then fill it to the top with sugar water. I did 1 tablespoon of organic cane sugar to one cup of distilled water. It took about 4 cups of sugar water. I use a stainless steel fermenting spring with lid. You just want to make sure the apples are submerged at all times. If you don't have a fermenting lid, you can cover with a cheese cloth. This is an aerobic fermentation so you need oxygen.

We've been fighting off strep throat these past 2 weeks. I'd never wish my kids to be sick, however I would wish that if they are both going to get sick that they be sick at the same time. This tag team, one on, one off is for the birds!
Rylee woke up last week with a sore throat and a fever of 103. One week later and the day she starts feeling better, Kyler woke up with a fever of 102 and a sore throat. And if anyone needed a real life insight to what having 2 kids is like.....
So 2 weeks of sick kiddos and a run down mama, I basically eliminated our cure all cabinet. We were loading up on immune boosters and natural cough syrups and all the things. Time to restock!
Guess that gives me a good time to attempt this "content" part of growing a small business in 2026 right?
We are restocking 2 of the staples to my cure all cabinet. Any guesses what these will turn into?

Just a funny reminder that you don't have to clean yourself up to be ready for God. He loves you even when you are messy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....
I am awful at social media content!
I'm a stay at home mom who is homeschooling a kindergartener who loves to explore and learn, with a 3 year old who loves to learn right along with his sister, running my own small business while managing my husband's business, and I'm also Troop Lead and Cookie Manager for a brand new Daisy troop! So know that when my presence isn't on social media, it's doing something related to that other nonsense!
No one warned me that Girl Scouts mean business and I volunteered to head up this madness!
Low key fighting the urge to eat all these cookies.....

Pineapple is great for soothing a scratchy throat and thinning chest congestion. It's rich in an enzyme called bromelain. Research suggests it's most effective against that persistent, dry cough. Here in Colorado, we finally got our first real snow which means another flood of sickness. My house has been hit again, this time with a bronchitis type cold. Pineapple cough syrup is top 5 go to for my littles when they are sick. It's not too sweet and they love it!
Pineapple Cough Syrup Recipe:
4 cups of water
1 whole fresh pineapple, peeled and chopped
3 cinnamon sticks
1 palm size chunk of ginger, chopped
1 tsp dried turmeric
5 cardamom seeds
1 tsp black peppercorns
1 cup of honey
Combine everything except the honey.
Simmer about 40 minutes.
Let it cool to about 100 degrees, strain and mash.
Add 1 cup of honey. Manuka or regular. Stir.
Kids take 1-2 tsp every 2-4 hours.
Adults can take a shot every 2-4 hours.
Substitutes:
Can add a dash of cayenne pepper to the shot for adults.
Can add a squeeze of Orange or Lemon juice for extra vitamin C.

We use tallow for everything in this house. And if it's not tallow, it's home-made butter. You will never catch me using seed oils for any reason whatsoever.
Big pharma makes the most profit with repeat customers. They want you sick and nearly dead. Natural remedies don't cure the ailment, they strengthen your bodies natural defense system so you heal yourself.
I believe in limited federal government, state sovereignty, natural rights, distinct power in judicial branches, and I'm against foreign powers in military. Our fathers didn't want any over reach of these powers because they knew how corrupt our country could become.
I was raised Catholic and am just now rediscovering my Bible and my faith. I don't look or act like a modern day Christian and I'm OK with that. Because I follow the Bible not the church and there's a difference.
You won't catch me following trends or creating trendy reels mostly because I don't get it but also because I'm a mother of 2, wife of the needy, and a small business owner so my plate is full.
I also believe in brand transparency. Well, really just transparency as a whole. You'll know exactly where I stand and why. There's too much muck in our world.
